Is This The Coolest Toyota Tundra Overland Ever?

This 2014 Tundra, SR5 Edition V8 is on 37s with lockers and two winches.

Americans have a fascination for big trucks, and the Toyota Tundra stands out as a top contender for listing U.S top trucks. Andre of TFLoffroad just updated a new video of one of the most incredibly built Toyota Tundras. It’s a rare truck with lockers, 37s, and two winches.

“Guys, I am about to show you the coolest Tundra I have personally ever seen, this is a Tundra V8, on 37s, and Michael was kind enough to bring it here https://jdmsportclassics.com/most-iconic-jdm-sports-cars-of-the-90s/arrow-up-right.

Micheal’s pickup truck is a 2014 Tundra, SR5 Edition. He got the truck in 2017, stock and started modifying it.

Initially, Michael's Tundra Overlander ran 36s

Michael’s first mod was wheels and suspension. Initially, the Tundra ran 36-inch KO2s on 28-inch rims. The truck currently runs on 17-inch rims and 37s.

“Originally, I wanted to be happy with 35s, and a couple of the groups I was in, some of the guys were on 37s on three inches, and it looks cool as a fat tire,” Michael revealed. “I think it does. A truck is supposed to be like this,” Andre added.

Michael’s Tundra has a set of Icons shocks. He chose them since they tend to design their shocks specific to the vehicle. Compared to Kings shocks, he feels you don’t get the comfort and performance off-road until you have them re-valved.

The Tundra also has an Expedition One Bumper and a 12,000 pounds winch. It’s set up with an aftermarket 46-gallon tank, welded with a steel skit for extra protection. On the rear axle, the pickup truck has custom Deaver shocks. Originally it ran the icon Omega shocks that were customized with Deaver to the current setup.

The Tundra Overlander has 55,000 Hard Miles on It.

On the rear, the Tundra has a port that runs a second battery for a 10 amp refrigerator. The winch is hidden behind the rear plates. It’s a 10,000-pound winch. On the bed, it has a draw system with all his recovery gear.

Under the hood, the Tundra is all stock, except for the air intake.

“In your opinion, is this enough power? Is this good?” Andre asked. “I thought it was great up until I got up to Colorado. Elevation is a crazy thing.” Michael answered.

He feels with all the mods on the bumpers and recovery kits. It could use a supercharger. But in his opinion, it ran great when it was stock. The Tundra currently has 55,000 hard miles, mostly done off-road since he has a daily driver.

“So, would you do this again? Would you buy this truck again?” Andre asked. “Yes. If I would do something different, it would definitely be a power wagon,” Michael answered.
